Keeping our heads above water gets harder and harder while billionaires buy bigger and bigger yachts. But there are actions we can take at the state level to help working families stay afloat while requiring the ultra-rich to pay their fair share.

We can make New York a beacon and a fortress against Trump’s brutal assault on our immigrant neighbors and the rule of law, and at the same time ensure that local law enforcement has the structure and support to succeed in keeping the peace in our communities.

I will always stand up to protect reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy and make sure New York remains a place where we can make our own decisions about our bodies.

I’m also a strong supporter of the New York Health Act because I believe everyone deserves coverage without worrying about cost or access.

We’re already feeling the impacts of climate change here in upstate New York: more intense storms and more catastrophic flooding, higher energy costs, growing strain on our infrastructure, and the alarming proliferation of ticks and tick-borne diseases. At the same time, more people are being drawn to communities like ours in search of climate havens that will be receiving residents of other states migrating to more temperate communities.

I support major investments in clean, affordable energy so we can lower utility bills while reducing our reliance on fossil fuels.

From Hadley Overlook to Hamilton Hill, this district is interconnected and interdependent, and everybody matters. I intend to be a state senator for everybody — always listening, always curious, always committed to making sure that directly impacted people have a seat at the table: from family businesses to veterans and first responders, from trans kids to small farmers.
